For some R&R for the next two days. No work, no kids, and just time for me and Jeff. Life is good. See you in a bit!
Oh, and in case anyone didn't notice, I FINALLY put up new pictures of the kids on Picasa. I have pictures of Maddie's Kindergarten promotion ceremony and strawberry picking with our girl scout troop up.
And speaking of strawberries, I am baking some strawberry scones this morning to use the last of them up. We have had organic strawberries off the vine, strawberry shortcake (our go-to recipe for strawberry shortcake for YEARS), strawberry bread, strawberry ice cream (Smitten Kitchen's buttermilk ice cream recipe, with some chopped up, macerated strawberries tossed in), and now strawberry scones. Delicious! But with organic strawberries you gotta eat them up pretty quickly, and they won't survive while we're in San Diego, so here's to throwing them into a bunch of recipes!
