On Saturday we went to the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood to watch Disney's Oceans movie. Afterward, Jeff dropped me off a couple blocks away at my hair stylist's to get a long overdue cut and color, where my little sis was waiting for me. Jeff doesn't do well driving in general, as I'm the one who almost always drives anymore, and his driving experience is limited to driving 2 miles away to/from the Metro station. Needless to say, those 10 blocks were pretty stressful for all involved.
Flashforward to Sunday, the day after. Miles woke up on the wrong side of the bed and just was being a royal pain. He called Bella a name--Emily and I heard one thing, and Maddie and Jeff heard another. I think I'm right, he thinks he is, but whatever. After his punishment (standing in the corner), and the subsequent crying, I was trying to talk to him, to explain why it's not nice to say bad or hurtful words about someone else. Bella, the ever-present opportunist, pipes in:
Bella: Mommy, do you bemember (she puts BE in front of a lot of words, like BEnanas, BEmember or Benilla) when you got your haircut?
Me: Yes, Bella, it was yesterday.
Bella: When Daddy was driving, I told him not to say bad words. I TOLD him. But he didn't bemember. He didn't bemember A LOT of times.
Hehe. Busted by a 3 year old. I had to laugh. And so did Jeff.
